There’s often argument made that a cable car would bring Tasmania into the modern age, and help us lose our ‘Slow-bart’ reputation. It’s a strange argument to make, when the concept is over 100 years old, and has barely advanced its vision since the 1980s. Hobart and Tasmania has amazing scope for progressive and innovative tourism ventures, as events like Dark Mofo and places like Maydena Bike Park and Blue Derby prove.
