Respect the Mountain are running a really creative event this Sunday, 7 October, gathering friends of the mountain to join hands across our beloved Organ Pipes.

Here’s a rundown on the day from Respect the Mountain:

1:45 pm – Meet and introductions at the site of the old Springs Hotel.
2:00 pm – Walk along the rejuvenated Pinnacle and Organ Pipes Tracks to the Climbers Track beneath the Amphitheatre (approx 147.24342°, -42.89483°).
3:00 pm – On arrival underneath the Amphitheatre there will be time to reflect upon and enjoy the beauty of kunanyi. Shortly after there will be a symbolic joining of hands ‘across the Organ Pipes’ to celebrate our wonderful mountain.

You are invited to meet us at The Springs prior to the walk or along the Organ Pipes Track beneath The Amphitheatre at 3 pm. This final gathering point can be accessed from a range of different tracks on the mountain (See bush walking track notes: https://www.wellingtonpark.org.au/assets/WP_Walk_Info_Sheet_A3-Aug18-V3.pdf)

Because we are concentrating the start of this event at The Springs please consider walking, running or riding to the event. If arriving by vehicle we strongly suggest you carpool, or arrange a drop off and pick up. Hope to see you there!
